the little things

quite the surprise!

It's quite the amazing fact that the Lord sure knows what He's doing. AND that He has a major sense of humor because this sweet boy...

is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!

Yes. Already. 

Baby Dinks #2 is due May 15th, but because I have to have a repeat c-section, baby will be here the week before. Which will make Grayson and new baby a whopping 13.5 months apart!

We've known for a few weeks now and had it all confirmed last week. Honestly, I am STILL in shock.

It took us 3.5 years, many tests, procedures, surgeries, tears and prayers to get pregnant with Grayson.

I wasn't having a cycle, so therefore we just thought I was back to where I had been before Grayson and that when the time came to start trying again we would more than likely have to return to my favorite doctor, the infertility specialist and give Clomid another try. You know...in like 2 more years or so.

Welp. God clearly had other plans!

We are so completely overjoyed and excited for this huge blessing, but still very much in shock!  I sometimes forget I'm even pregnant because life is busy and Grayson keeps us VERY busy!

I am so, so blessed. 

Still shocked! 

And continuing to pray for all those waiting for their sweet baby blessings as well!  God can do ANYTHING. He will always provide. Not always how or when we think He SHOULD, but He's always on time. And NEVER makes mistakes.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving spent with family. I enjoyed my Turkey Day for the second year in a row with a Baby Bean inside who was loving Gramcracker's ham and rolls, Phil's stuffing and cousin Steph's deviled eggs! ;)

Grayson loved playing on his grandma and grandpa's floor with cousin Michael and hamming it up for anyone who was watching!

He also loved the meal! He feasted on his own bites of turkey, roll, mashed potatoes and green been casserole (minus the onions)! haha.

He also loved looking out (and licking) the sliding glass door! Ha! He is so silly! He's pulling himself up on EVERYTHING these days. It's insane!

Nate enjoyed chatting with his brother in laws, the meal (of course!) and taking a short nap!

We're very, very blessed.

into everything

Someone has figured out that he can get into just about whatever he wants now!

Including my little stash of scrap goodies (that I haven't touched in months!) in the dining room.

Oy.

We'll be child-proofing the house more tomorrow. Some things I refuse to put up.  My mom said she never put things up with Megan and I (unless they were a potential poking or choking hazard, of course) and we learned our lesson right away.

Grayson is obsessed with my glass mason jars on the bottom of the library table though, so those HAVE to find a new home for a bit.

It's so fun to watch him learning something new everyday. It's almost like he does stuff overnight.

He went from weeble wobbling to sitting in literally a day a month or two ago. Then, he just started sitting up from a laying down position like it was nothing--overnight! He's now pulling himself up on everything, such as the basket above, mommy and daddy, his toy basket, even the bathtub! Yikes! 

And one of new very favorite things to do right now is dive into the Tupperware cupboard and get crazy! 

He had a late 6 month checkup last week (@ 7 months, 1 week actually. Eeep!) and now weighs 17 lbs and is 26 1/2 inches long. What a shorty!

He's finally filling out size 6 month pants and shirts.

Growing, growing, growing!

His latest obsession is Cookie Monster. He literaly shrieks when he sees him whether it's on tv or a book or at the store.

Lord, help me! ;) haha

He'll be attending his first wedding tonight with BOTH Nate and I!!

Nate now has weekends off!!  We are so thankful!  We've prayed for this schedule for over 5 years and are grateful the Lord knew our longing.

He's so faithful. And has definitely been blessing us more than we deserve lately.

Life is busy, hectic, stressful. But it's great. And I wouldn't change it for the world.

month seven. (a bit late)

Dear Grayson,

My, what a crazy, busy and surprsing month this has been! We are all so busy lately!

You, especially.

You are crawling now and love to be outside. You also discovered your shadow and had your first Trick or Treating experience. (You LOVED it and were a BIG hit around town!)

You are still loving baths (and even stood up in the tub the other night. About gave me a heart attack!) and you are a HUGE people person.  People often comment about how alert and friendly you are. God heard my prayers, didn't He, little man? :)

You are such a good eater. You pretty much love everything but peas and do not like green beans pureed, so I just give them to you heated up and you go. to. town! You officially take a sippy cup now, too. And love Puffs.

You are still obsessed with anything Mickey Mouse!  You made your first trip to the pumpkin patch with daddy and I. You also enjoy Sesame Street and LOVE the racetrack that grandma Sandy bought you.

You never sit still anymore and diaper/clothing changes have become near impossible! So quick!  

You can also sit yourself up all on your own now from a lying down position and love to "stand."

We love you oh, so much Grayson and are so very thankful for you!
