While big, fat snowflakes are falling outside, we have a touch of the flu inside today. Nate was pretty sick all last night while we watched tv, but got REALLY sick at 3:30 this morning.
It's a pretty rare thing for Nate to get sick, so I put on my wifey hat & tended to him! (What is it about men when they get sick? They act like they're dying! ;) hahaha). He wasn't able to keep anything down, not even water & broke my heart.
Finally, this afternoon I put on a big pot of vegetable beef soup in hopes that not only would it provide many a leftover meal the next few days (budget, people!), but would be something he could enjoy.
I love veggie beef soup! Especially on cold, winter, sick days like today! What is it about all those bright veggies, mixed with some beef & tomato juice that can make any day GREAT?!
I even served up myself a grilled cheese sandwich just like my mom makes! Nate passed on that, but was so excited to get to enjoy a bowl of soup!
These past couple of days have been so busy & I love it! I love that I was finally able to schedule my HSG (next Monday @ noon!). I love that I received a return call from Malone University to meet with an advisor to discuss my options for returning to school!
I am grateful for friends with little ones who ask me to babysit! Tomorrow I get to spend some time with little Noah while his mom & dad are tending to some prior commitments!
I'm also really looking forward to some time on Saturday with some of the women in my family (mom, gramcracker, Megan & Tana). We'll be attending an all day christian women's conference in the next town over. This will be my first ever meet like this & I am sooo excited!
Lots happening & I wouldn't have it any other way!
God sure has blessed me though & through these last couple of weeks!
I hope you're enjoying your week as well & that the sickies haven't ventured into your home, too! :)
p.s.-I have a card up today over at the American Crafts blog! Be sure to stop by there-always lots of inspiring bits of craftiness happening! :)
