a little late

I'm a little late getting here with the Style Phyle winner-I'm so sorry. I haven't been feeling so good this weekend, dealing with headaches non-stop.

On to the FUN stuff!  I pulled a number, 1-22...#10 it was, which means, Nichole S you're a winner!! :)

Nate & I are hoping to head to the pumpkin patch today...and he doesn't know this yet, but maybe do a little shopping (! hehe) because I need some new fall attire & I know he does too. And we have nothing exciting for vacation. We shall see how long I last tho, it all depends on when & if these headaches chill out.

Oh, and here's a layout from last weekend.  Us. Acting so silly! Lots of AC goodness, and found that blue polka dot paper by Heidi Swapp in my stash that I forgot I even had! d'oh! Today has been a pretty good day!  Grocery shopping is all done, I scrapped tonight, posted some things on Craigslist to maybe make some extra money for vacation, and now here I am online, listening to America's Most Wanted & trying very hard not to head to bed! hehe.

Not much.

I always hate the times when I have this great, big urge to scrapbook, but I'm just too tired to do it. Today is one of those times.  What an exhausting week this has been. I can't seem to get rid of these headaches.

Last Friday, about an hour before I was to go home we were told we would be moving locations this week. Yesterday was the big move to a new building, with a LOT more people. I'm still adjusting, but I am so grateful for such kind & welcoming people-that really seems to be helping things!  But, I miss my cube walls. I'm still in a cube setting, but a much bigger one, shared with 3 of my favorite co-workers. :) No walls. I feel like privacy is out the window. Oh well.  My 35 minute one-way commute got 5 minutes longer + a HUGE hill that I am dreading this winter.  I'm hoping to be adventurous next weekend & take a different highway. We shall see how that goes!

With this new move, seems to have come many "technological" problems for me tho!  (I'm such a blonde! ;)) Yesterday the keys on my keyboard kept getting stuck. Turns out one of the movers dropped it & didn't tell me. We got it fixed tho. Shew! Then, my headset wasn't working. I noticed this morning that it's because I plugged into the wrong hole on my phone! D'oh! ;) Before I fixed the headset problem & had to use the regular part of my phone, I nearly dropped a call because my cord was bunched up (permanently!) & wasn't un-bunching! Then, this afternoon, I accidentally hot the "options" button on my phone & then logged off...but not in a "I'm going home-shut the phone off-kind of way", more like a "disconnect my extension, for good" kinda log off! No dial tone either! hahaha..yeah. the IT people are loving me this week! ;)  My supervisor just laughed & I got out of making/taking phone calls the rest of the day!  It's annoying tho..I have a lot of stuff to do & can't do much of it without my phone!

Anyways, enough about work.

Oh, one more thing-I was about 2 minutes from my house last night when I realized I left my cell at work! ack. That's my primary phone, too. Bummer. So, just in case Nate didn't try to call & panicked when he couldn't reach me, I decided to drive to my mom & Phil's (about 4 minute away-thank goodness!) & left a note because they were at church asking them to let Nate know the sitchy-ation. :) Not 20 minutes later, mom & Craemer are at my door letting me know she got ahold of Nate. all was well. LOL  that's how we do things I guess-like we're in Little House & the Prairie times or something!! LOL ;) It was good seeing mom & Crae. I miss them!

So, what else is new? Hmmm...OH. The Isagenix guy called. He said the lowest he could go would be $340 & that's after getting rid of a "few" items! ack.  I said thanks, but no thanks. So, I called my doctor, who called me back (oh. I love that! she's wonderful!) & said she understood & was trying to think of some other cleansers.  She said that if I could find some to fax her the ingredient list, because one thing I HAVE to have is Chromium. She said if I happened to find one that seemed good, but didn't have the Chromium to send it to her anyways, because she could always write me a script for some. SO, now I'm searching for a new body cleanse to present to her.

Anyone have any suggestions?!  I'm going to start it the day we get back from vacation...around October 19th or so. I'd love any ideas you may have!

The organic eating this week has went well. I LOVE that Horizon milk!  I love the organic fruits & the Brown Cow yogurt is actually really good! 

Well, my head is pounding. I do believe it's about time for some rest. :)  I'm so excited to have a girls night with my great friend, Stephanie tomorrow night!  We have lots of catching up to do, so I want to be sure I'm chipper as a chicken!! :) hehe.

OH! and I almost forgot!  I have this to give away!   It's August's Style Phyle from SIStv! Vintage goodness! I'm trying to purge! :)  Just leave a comment & I'll draw a name sometime Sunday! :)

Nate & I ventured to Mustard Seed Saturday to pick up a few organic things to try. I've decided not to go full organic or anything until after vacation in a few weeks, but I was anxious to try some basic stuff before! This morning I will be having some of that Horizon milk with some yummy (at least it LOOKS yummy!) organic cereal...we shall see how it goes. I'm packing some kiwi, a banana & a yogurt with my lunch for today. I hope it's good!

I got sick this morning because of some stuff going on at work. Gotta love that. Friday at the very end of the day we heard thru the grapevine that my department is moving locations. Which make my commute even longer. *blah* I'm just praying for a smooth transition & for God to work with me, because right now I am feeling very negative & upset about it.

I put it to the side the entire weekend & now, it's 30 minutes before I leave for work & I am not feeling so hot.  My manager did confirm Friday that we are moving & it could be as early as tomorrow. Oh blah again.

Anyways, another day, another dollar, right? ;)

Ok, so technically fall doesn't start until tomorrow, but eh, what's one day ahead of schedule?! ;)

Won't you look at these scrumptious caramel apples my mom made this afternoon & brought over for Nate & I?! She said it can be my final treat before starting on organic eating! :)  I cannot wait to dig into one tonight! YUM!

I love fall!  Over the last few years it's become my favorite season. I love the colors, the smells, the sights, the food! hehe. Love it!  My house is currently smelling of Cider doughnuts courtesy of Yankee Candle!  YUM!

I went to a crop at Archiver's last night. Had a great time scrapping with Shelly, Kristin & Mandi! I actually got 3.5 pages done-so surprised! :)

 that's me! always daydreaming about something! :)  It felt good to put glue to paper last night (and tonight! but those I can't share just yet!) * everything is yummy American Crafts-I'm seriously addicted to those chit chat puffy Thickers! 

Just trying to make the time pass by...I missed the return phone call from my doctor this afternoon. I was in a meeting at work & boy was I bummed. :( But, I called back, spoke with a nurse, let her know my EXACT issues/questions/concerns & she said she would talk to the doctor tomorrow & call me back! I am so pleased with this office. They're kind, courteous, and so far have stuck to what they say they will do! So, I can't be too bummed. Just waiting.

I can't think you all enough for the comments & emails I have received regarding this weeks happenings! Thank you for the support, encouragement, stories & suggestions...I am truly so grateful for them!  I owe some you an email-I promise to get back to you soon. :) Just know I thank you! :)

I am pretty excited to get going on something. I'm hoping she just has me go with a mostly organic diet. From everything I've been reading and hearing organic is the way to go. Not to mention, I shouldn't really have anything processed anymore.  I just cannot bring myself to doing the South Beach Diet again. Something about the last time has just tainted my views on it or something! We'll see what happens tho!

It's going to be a busy weekend here. I'm going out with a dear friend tomorrow night, then Saturday is the infamous "KDays" at Kmart (think 2 words: Hot & wheels ;)), then I'm hoping to go to Mustard Seed to look around & get all kinds of healthy, organic stuff (just depending on what the Dr. says)..then after Nate goes to work I'm going to my first crop at Archivers with some local Ohio girls from SIStv! yey!

But, for now...I'm off to bed! Goodnight & Happy (early) Friday! :)

This is why I never get my hopes up about anything.

I was all pumped & ready to do this. Ready to get my weight down & all these issues under control. I was anxious to get this 30 day supplement.

 

And then the guy told me it would be over $500.  My heart sank. uhhh. whaaa? say it again.

Unreal. I know that maybe that’s not a lot for some people, but for us, it is.

Especially for powder shakes & vitamins.

 

My doctor had told us a price half of that & even that was hard to swallow, but we knew it would be ok & well worth it.

 

I know it’s great for my health, but what am I supposed to do now?  Not take vacation?  Return the computer?  Ugh.

 

This is frustrating. I am trying so hard to be positive. SO hard.  I tried calling my doctor today. She's not in on Wednesdays, but she'll be there tomorrow-in meetings all day. Bummer.. The girl said she'd pull my chart & have her call me back as soon as possible. I am grateful for that.I am just so sad. Why do all these things keep happening?  Why can’t something just STAY good?

 

I know it must seem like nearly all my posts lately are so negative, and I am so sorry.  But, this is just a hard time in my life right now & not everything is going to be great I guess.  I’m praying. I trust in God & I know this is all happening for a reason. I know He has a plan & I just have to be patient.

Please forgive my grumpiness. I read your comments & thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the kindness. I really appreciate your good wishes in this journey!

 

I think I’m going to scrap some. I have some DT stuff due for American Crafts & something else that I need to work on…we’ll see what happens.

In just a few...

I will be starting something new. Something that I know will be really good for me.

My follow up appointment went really well today!  I really like the my new doctor. She gets me & is SUCH a great doctor. It's so hard to find those these days & I am so grateful that I found her.

She explained everything that's going on me with in detail. Word for word. Patient, understanding. She listened to my questions & concerns. She includes Nate. Sooo thankful! 

Basically, I definitely have PCOS. Basically my levels are all "okay" Not awful, not great either. My thyroid is borderline a problem. She said not so much right now, but we'll have to check it again in about 6 months.

My cholesterol is super low (which most of the time is a good thing, but when it comes to the reproductive system, not so much. Cholesterol is a huge role regarding estrogen, etc. & I'm lacking it)...she said my testosterone is high, estrogen low...sugars are lower...I'm pretty textbook. She couldn't answer my question about being able to have kids...simply because I have so much work ahead of me (weight/health wise).

And for once in my life, I am actually okay with it. :) Praise the Lord!!

She prescribed me Metformin to try & get my sugar/estrogen levels, etc. back to as "normal" as possible.  She also wants me to do a 30 days cleanse with Isagenix  as soon as possible. I have to fax an info request form to the Rep & then start it as soon as possible.  The reason for this is because she said my levels are so out of whack, my body does not dispose of chemicals, fats, etc. like a normal person. It holds on to things & stores things in my fat cells, hence the continual weight gain.  She said I need to rid my body of all those harmful things...organic, basically.  The cleanse will really help boost my energy, sleep better, clear up my skin, and best of all-lose weight!  After the 30 days, I can continue on with the product another month or go for a mostly organic diet.

I have to have followup blood work in December & then see her again on December 23rd to see how I'm progressing!  

The ultimate goal is to get healthy.  and have healthy babies. :)  Nate & I are so anxious to start a family, but we both know getting my health under control is A-#1 right now!

I am just really excited to get going with all this & sooo happy to FINALLY have some answers!  God is good!  Thank you for your thoughts & prayers-I am so grateful!

Also, praise the Lord for my Metformin prescription only being a whopping 95 cents today!!!  I start that tomorrow.  We also went to the grocery & picked up a few healthy things to get me going while I wait to order & receive my Isagenix products.

I know this is going to be a long/hard journey. But anything that is ever worth having is that way & I am ready!

In other unrelated news: I picked up the most delicious smelling candle at Audrey's today-Pumpkin Vanilla! Mmmm!!  My whole house smells of fall goodness!

My mom & Phil's electric finally came back on this morning! yeyy!

-I had to work today (ok, so that’s not the good thing!)…but I do get tomorrow off! Woot!

-I know who I’m voting for! Ok. So, I’ve pretty much always known. But it feels good to be officially decided.

-Nate is off today & tomorrow! We get a whole evening together tonight-woohoo on making him watch One Tree Hill with me! :) hehe.

-Follow up appointment tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it. Even if she does put me on some 9-day body cleanse!

-Mom & Phil had to spend the night last night. Because of the horrific wind storms we had yesterday they lost their power-& it’s still not on! (ok. So this isn’t really good either, I guess just the seeing them part is good?!)

-I scrapped last night!  I can only show you 1 of 2 layouts. (sorry for the cruddy photo-I just couldn't get a good photo!)

-The joy that being able to print from home brings me is priceless.

-One Tree Hill’s on tonight! (as mentioned above. It’s so good, it has to be noted twice!)

-I’ve decided I want a job at QVC. There, I said it. ! haha.

See, Nate & I had to get a new scanner because our old one was "too old" for Mac & it wouldn't work. So, we ventured to Best Buy this morning, found this great Hp 3-in-one on sale (even better, right?!) & brought it home but didn't have a ton of time to try everything out.

Fast forward to tonight. Tana & I.

After a very fun afternoon of scrapbook shopping & yummy dinner!

We come back here so she can show me some things on Facebook. I, in turn show her all the neat things this piece of wonderfulness can do (LOL)...!  We decide we HAVE take some silly photos using the photo book feature. So we do.

And then, we want to print them! Uhhh.

Easier said than done!

The new printer wouldn't read that we had the photo paper in it.

Talk about stress! ;)

We tried forever.

So, we then decide to "video" our process. Wow.

So funny. Seriously.

It worked because before we knew it the stinkin photo was printing...and then another...and another..and..well, I hate to just shut the whole thing off!  We lost it!

So silly!

Annnnyways.

In other good news:

Michael Phelps is on SNL right. now. !!!  Love that guy! Something about him is SO cute. I think the 8 gold medals help too, right?! ;)

I submitted my first layout in 2 1/2 years about 2 weeks ago & got an email last requesting it!!  So excited!  

I got some good scrap supplies tonight taht I am dying to dig into!  Hope you're having a great weekend!
