Seriously, so true.
I promise you I don’t have a super exciting life, but lately, my days are busy & flying by! I’m not sure how I feel about it at this point! Haha.
Like, I just noticed it’s been a week since I’ve even updated this thing! It feels like only a couple days! Time is going by so fast. It’s the end of January already?! Whoa.
Monday, Nate & I headed to Canton for some Target shopping, Jared, where he bought me a beautiful new right hand ring (totally not planned, but I am so happy we did it, not because I got something, but because Nate wanted to. I’ve been occasionally browsing for a new right hand ring and he told me if I found one within reason, “to go ahead & get it”..and I did! It matches my past, Present, Future necklace he got me 2 years ago!) anywhoo, we also had lunch at the yummy Cheeseburger in Paradise, and topped our great day off with Chick-Fil-A milkshakes (yikes!) and a visit with my dad. I LOVE Mondays!!
Tuesday-Friday were a whirlwind, like always. Being at work 10.5 hours each day, plus a 40 minute one-way commute, really leaves few hours at home…but I’m okay with that, because Nate’s not here anyways, so I get pretty bored! I didn’t get nearly enough sleep, so I was pretty worn out all week. I went to Claudia’s (my friend from work) Thursday night for dinner. That was a blast! She’s like a second mom to me, and has 2 daughters around my age, and we’re coming pretty good friends. I’ve get them HOOKED on scrapping! So much so, they’re even coming over this Friday to scrap! Fun stuff!
This weekend is a ‘no spend’ one for Nate & I (aside from groceries & gas) & I am PROUD to say we’re doing really well! Friday was one of those pays that seems like you have to pay every bill you have on that day! It’s okay tho, because we have spent too much money lately. One thing I did get accomplished this past week was a new budget. Nate & I are going to go over everything tomorrow. Even tho we have been doing pretty well these last several months, it’s time for a re-work. We’ve both been fortunate to get raises and Nate has a weird schedule on his pay scale anyways, so we never know for absolute sure what his checks will be..plus, I finally quit being stupid and enrolled in my company’s 401K…so, one thing we’re really shooting at sticking with is a BUDGET!
We want to get rid of everything junky (aka: credit cards still lingering) and start putting more back for our emergency fund..and saving for a house. We’ve both decided that will be about 2-4 years away. PLUS, my health stuff and a baby is that ever happens. So, we want to get on both feet as best as possible before LIFE happens. I am pretty excited about it & am really keeping positive. Plus, Nate is set to go on mandatory 7 day work weeks starting in either March or April until September or October (I know, I know…CRAZY right?!) Thank goodness he has a vacation coming up in the summer & has many “points” he can use for days off, etc…but for the most part, he’ll be working straight thru. We’re just trying to see the positive in that tho (like the funds that we can just send right one over to savings!, etc).
Since tomorrow is our “Saturday” & we’re spending no money, we’re excited to sleep in & have decided to hang up some stuff around the house (since we’ve been here 3 months now & don’t have much on the walls! Ha.) & catch up on some DVR’d shows that we like to watch together..and I’m sure there will be some scrapping & PSP in there somewhere! Haha.
We had Toddler Room duty at church today. That is always a hoot! I love what the kiddo’s say. One of the little girls let a stinker, and one of the others that was sitting on my lap said, “Katherine tooted. She STINKS!” ahhh. LOL. I was cracking up. They hold nothing back!

-This is what I am married to. No, the Frito Lay gloves, but the goofy guy wearing them! lol Last Monday, it was freezing in the car & Nate was complaining about how cold the steering wheel was. I made the mistake of saying, " too bad you don't have any gloves!" well,wrong move on my part, because it sparked it-Nate quickly reaching into his middle console & pulling out his work gloves! Wow. What a sexy look, huh?! ;)
-Here's our new DVD case I've been promising photos of! It's actually a bookshelf, but we have so many DVD's, this is what we had to get! The red candle is no longer there, it was hanging out until I got the mantle all rearranged! haha. and for now, some of my recent scrapbooks are sitting in the bottom, but not for long, as Nate has informed me..he's out of room on the top 2 shelves already! Good grief! haha. (and K, your card is front & center girl!! as always! :))
And, last but not least...some more cuppycake goodness from Target! Picked up the last sets of rub ons & patterned paper they had! I plan on playing with it this afternoon!

I had a really good time yesterday at the crop! It’s always fun packing up the scrap stuff & heading to a nice store with nice gals.
Erin cracks me up! I also got to meet Marie Taylor & her friend, and Shelly Brewer…super sweet girls! They’re SO funny!
The girls were loving the fun cupcake stickers (used on the middle layout) I found at Target last week! I adore them too! They are so fun & cute! They’re by Marcella K, if you’re interested. :) I was happy to finally find the MM Noteworthy schtuff. Really, I was just after the mini spiral journaling book with those cute, little tear out pages! Love them!
It was a really good, fun time & I’m glad I went! I am sooo tired today tho. So tired, I shut the alarm off before church this morning & didn’t even know it! We made it in time tho, but gosh! I am sleep girl today! I’m really hoping to nap later on.
Church was so good today. It’s always good, but todays’ message was really good. Our Pastor talked about some verses in Genesis regarding where I have been? where am I now? And where am I going? It made me think about a LOT of things. The where am I going? Got me. Because I ask that everyday. Somedays I just get so aggravated with God for not making everything so obvious. It’s silly, I know. I guess it’s easier for me that way, but I’m working on just letting go. Letting God have control of every situation. I know He’ll show me in His time. Anyways, we also finished up our 15 week marriage Sunday school class/dvd sessions with Emerson Eggrich’s. I’m kind of sad it’s over! It was truly so spot on & purposeful! If you’re married & haven’t looked into it or heard of it, try searching for Love & Respect Minisitries…it’s sooo good & I know you’ll be glad you did!
After church, Nate & I went to Megan’s boyfriend’s for some lunch Meg made. Spaghetti! Yum! They got a new puppy, Oliver. He’s a Jack Russell Terrier & is sooo stinkin adorable! I’m such a bad auntie, I didn’t take one photo of him to share! Haha. I love sharing an early Sunday afternoon with family. We would have stayed longer, but Nate had to work. So, now I’m home for the evening! I even cleaned the house after Nate left for work!

I love being around creative people. It makes me a happy girl! It 
was a slow day for me tho. I only completed 2 ½ pages…pathetic! Haha. Granted, Tricia & I were only there for 5 hours, and the 1st hour for me was spent shopping & printing photos, so 2 ½ pages in 4 hours is…okay, that’s pathetic, I know! Haha. Nothing was coming to me tho…but I am happy with these 3 pages (I came home & finished the last one!) so I guess that’s all that matters, right? :) and yeah, they're all of Nate & I...I promise I'm truly not stuck on myself..but I wasn't inspired by any of my photos yesterday & I had all these lovey things on mind, so this is what happened! LOL
Some days…okay, most days I am random. That’s just me.
Nothing ever makes or sense, or falls into order. But, I think it’s ok that way, right?! ;)
So, today..I have a few randoms.
Audrey’s Attic. Tina asked me about it--It’s in Orrville, (Ohio hehe!) the town where I live…literally 2 minutes down the street from my house! (yeah. Nate loves that part! Haha. Riiiight!) I’m sure she’s on the web somewhere…and wanna hear a funny? 
Ok, so I have been shopping at Audrey’s since right around the time it opened in 2000…I love it. She has such neat things & good deals/sale prices! Anywhoo, Nate & I were there before Christmas & hear someone yell his name. I think to myself, “how strange because I’m the local, not Nate…who does he know around here?!” lol. It was girl..they chatted, “caught up”..I wasn’t paying much attention…afterall, I was in Heaven! Haha. So, he finds me & asks if I know who that was. I say, no. He then says, “that was April! I used to date her!” I said, “ohhh yeah. Wow. Cool” he says, “yeah, and wanna know something else? “ I say sure. He continues…”her mom owns this store!” LOL GO FIGURE! Nate’s ex’s mom owns one of my fave store ever!! Haha. Wow. Small, small world!
Anyways, Audrey’s is fabulous. We went there yesterday so I could spend my gift certificate from Christmas. I found a shelf & beautiful farmhouse painting! I can’t wait to hang it up! I have a LOVE for shelves! LOL
Piles. I have noticed lately that I am complete pile maker! These are just 2 of the ones on the computer desk. 
One is to the right of me: checkbook, pens, highlighter, calculator, 
(for balancing the checkbook!) eBay info from Nate’s hotwheels purchase last night, receipts, plastic from new cd’s… and the other one if to the left of me: green paint & sponge from scrapbooking painting LAST week..oops!, new cd’s: Jordin Sparks & Alicia Keys, iPod, wires. Oh, such a mess! I must look like slob! Haha.
Scrappage. 
I did this page last night & for some reason, it’s a new favorite of mine. Nate & I have such a weird schedule, and I know we’re not the first married couple to have opposite/unfun work schedules, but it is hard. And it’s only going to get harder, as he’s set to get started on mandatory 7 day work weeks starting around March or April, so I’m trying to brace myself for all that! Anyway, I just wanted to jot down some thoughts & good things we share when we ARE together.
4. Etsy. I’ve been browsing the site for weeks, but finally made my first 2 purchases last night! I am so excited! I found some journaling tags from 2 different sellers that I am so tickled with!
5. Lock & Lock. I totally packed Nate’s lunch in my new Lock & Lock lunch box today! How nice of a wife am I?! ;) haha. I haven’t even used it yet, and I let him take it first! Wow. I sooo got bonus points for that! LOL
6. Family time. After church (which was wonderful by the way!) today, Nate & I had lunch with my mom & Phil, Megan & JB & Tana & Zeb at a local favorite, Jakes. It was such a great time chatting & catching up! I love days like today!
Well, I am off to nap! Which I really, really need. I’m not much of a napper, so this may prove to be difficult!, especially since I want to scrap so bad! Haha.

LOL I was doing really well after I ordered my Bare Escentuals before Christmas. That is until I caught one of my favorites, Lock & Lock on Sunday night!

I am so stinkin “fascinated” with Lock & Lock, you guys! It’s so silly! I love their products! Before we moved into the new house, I ordered my first set of Lock & Lock’s..3 cereal containers. They came the day before we moved & I waited to open them until we were in. and oh my! Who knew 3 little plastic containers could make a girl so happy?! LOL
They are wonderful! Love!
So, anyway..my new order arrived yesterday & today (yeah. I totally ordered 2 different sets this time!) 
Yesterday, it was the 6 pc essential’s set (or whatever it’s called! LOL) That’s what the photo is…but excuse half of it missing because my camera died last night & I didn’t take nay more photos! Bread box, butter box, pitcher , etc! Then, the one tonight was my new lunch box (ok, I feel like a nerd! LOL)…with some Lock & Lock containers! I’m so excited to pack my lunch for work on Tuesday! Haha.
Ok. Anyways, I have to move on!
The weekend is here & I am so happy! I need some sleep! Nate & I get to grocery shop tomorrow before he goes to work, and then I plan on cleaning up my scrap space & get to work!
WW’s is going well! Hopefully, I’ll get some exercise in. we shall see! Thanks to Holly for sending me a PointsFinder since I can’t find mine! Girl, you rock! I appreciate it so much!

I just want to thank each person who has left me words of encouragement & support here on the blog and those who have emailed me. It means way more than you will ever know to read your personal stories. Thank you for the prayers & kindness to this wonky situation.
I know this is only the beginning. I am really going to try my best to just focus on all the good…because you know what, there’s a LOT of it! A few of you have wrote me telling me what a wonderful hubby I have, and you’re right! He is so by my side in all of this! I really shouldn’t complain about all of this, and from here on out, I’m going to do my best at not letting this get to me. I’m going to focus on all the good & losing this weight..and my family and friends, and scrapbooking, and our home. I’m sure days like the other day will come along again, but I know I have to ride it out…this too shall pass..

So, anyways! I haven’t had much blog & email time (by the way, if I owe you an email, please be patient with me..I hope to have them all out by tonight!) the past few days..just been busy with life!
Saturday night, Tricia, Mindy & I had a girls night out. We went to TGIFridays for dinner (yum!) and then saw Juno..really cute! Nate came home early that night because a box of packaged chips came crashing down, busting his glasses & scratching his face! He’s pretty much blind like me, so they let him come home early, it was nice having him home when I got back with the girls.
I got some photos printed and did some scrapping this weekend..and have decided to try the whole 365 photo thing. we shall see how i do! but how fun to just snap a photo, no matter how in focus or great, just to record that second! i love it! 1st-Nate playing PSP while Aslan just chills! haha 2nd-The stupid laptop we're having to use for who knows how long (I hate it, can you tell?!) haha 3rd- yesterday doing our devotionals. Our church gave each famly a new devotional book for the new year as a gift...we love it! We even know 2 of the authors-super cool! and i've also decided to do Elise's Challenge Paper08..this is my cover & 1st entry about balance (sorry for the blurry pic)
Nate & I have walked the past 2 nights and tonight he’s at 
work, so I didn’t go out for a walk…yikes! I need to get my butt in high gear here. I have set goals now, so no excuses!
I made a good dinner tonight (as in yummy & healthy!); parmesan crusted chicken tenders & salad. Mmmm! We use dijon mustard for the “glue” instead of egg…a little lighter & better for you I guess. Haha. We picked up lots of good foods at the grocery this weekend; granny smith apples (our fave!), oranges, bananas, salad stuff, nutrigrain bars, Laughing Cow cheese, all kinds of goodness! We tried to pick up some healthy snack foods and we’re really into pumpernickel anything right now! Bread & snack sticks are so good!
Monday night we went over to the Krinov’s (good friends of ours) to watch the (sad!) OSU/LSU game. Even tho our Buckeyes lost, we had a BLAST! We didn’t get home until after 12:30 in the morning, and I, of course had to be up for work at 5:30 for work! Crazy, but so much fun! I love friends! :)
Anywhoo, life is good! I am truly so blessed to have such positive, wonderful people in my life! Now, I just have to get thru tomorrow & Friday..and then it’s a good weekend of nothing planned! Love that!
I really want to head to my favorite primitive store Saturday. Nate got me a gift card for Christmas and I am anxious to see what I can find! I’m also hoping to go antique shopping & thrifting Monday! I’m on the hunt for nothing super specific, just want to have a good time browsing with the hubs!
Anything that keeps me busy & away from food is a good thing! Haha.
