Nate gave our apartment managers our 30 day notice letter yesterday and found out we have to be moved out by October 31st. Which, makes perfect sense since our lease is up on November 1st..but for some odd reason my pea brain just thought we could start moving on that day & onto the 2nd if need be! But, obviously we can’t. So, I had to make a call to the new land lord last night letting him know the latest and to ask if we could possibly move in the weekebd before; October 26th & 27th. I was completely nervous. Completely worried he would be mad or even tell us no.
But, he didn’t! He is so nice! He said that wouldn’t be a problem at all, just as long as the rent was paid in time, he had no problems with it! I even offered to be pro-rated for the few extra days before November 1st, and he said it wasn’t necessary, he was just happy to have us moving in.
God is so good! He took my worry away & turned what could have been a big problem into a breeze! I am so thankful!
So, our official move out & then move in date is October 26th! Just a little over 5 weeks away! I am sooo stinkin excited! And so is Nate!
We will spend the next few weeks packing, dusting, and cleaning. All in between working, a visit from my mother in law, a wedding, our FIRST anniversary!! And a possible new work schedule for Nate that could take place at any time. How exciting! I like to be busy sometimes tho. It helps it all to get here faster!
My mom said she drove by yesterday & the For Rent sign was out of the yard! Wooot! That only means good news for us! The only thing I’m dreading about moving is getting all the utilities, etc switched over. And our mail & all that other fun stuff!
Thanks so much for all the sweet words about our new home! You guys are so sweet! To answer some questions…the new place will be a tad closer to my family. They’re town is in the middle of where we currently live & the new town. It’s closer by about 5 minutes. And our commutes will pretty much even out to be the same as what they are now. Nate will have about 5 minutes longer in his drive, and I will be about 5 minutes closer to work. I can’t wait to get inside & decorate & share some photos!
Ok, putting all the moving stuff aside, Megan has decided to study K9 massage therapy! She is so pumped & I am so happy for her! She got all her study/test/workbook material on Monday & hasn’t put it down since! She spent the night with us Monday and studied all night! Even during The Hills! Haha. She also has an interview in 15 minutes with a Pet Spa at our local vet as an assistant..to get her foot in the door for when she’s licensed! I am so tickled for her!
Work has actually been decent this week *knockonwood* I just keep praying I will find something else, but only in God’s time. He knows I have no clue what I want to do..so maybe He’s just waiting until He knows I’m really ready to try something different. In the meantime, I am trying my best to tough it out here. The guy who got the other position, who is favored by the manager, etc. Hasn’t been here all week, so maybe that’s why I’m so stinkin happy! LOL
This weekend is “K Days” at Kmart..can you guess what that is?!
It starts with a “Hot” & ends with a “Wheels!” ;)
Yeah. I have let my husband talk me into joining him on a crazy, “fun filled” morning at our local Kmart to insanely go thru a whole case of brand new Hot Wheels looking for that one awesome Treasure Hunt, or hard to find car! (think Charlie & his Golden ticket!) haha.
Yeah. So, see how cool the Duenke
’s are?! :) hehe. I’m excited to see what all this will be like. I can only imagine it to be Wayne County’s finest, fighting over box after box of little plastic & metal cars, old & young alike..wanting to find the coolest car out there!
Nate hasn’t said anything directly to me yet, but I just know he is literally counting the SECONDS until he can relish in acting like a little kid again!
Oh, I suppose I should get back to my work now! More later!
