my husband makes me laugh

I could be having the worst day ever, but somehow Nate always manages to make me laugh.  He's cool like that I guess! ;)  Last Friday ws HARD. it was uncomfortable & uncertain & stressful. but what a blessing to have an INCREDIBLE husband who I knew would be home in the early morning & would make me happy again. Everyday I thank God for giving me such a wonderful husband, who can ALWAYS make me laugh!

Like how addicted to Hotwheels he has become again.."Nichole, there's only 180 to collect this year! I need them all! Last year there was 227 to collect!"

*and thank you all for the kind comments. work is still going & i do not believe i will be one to get laid off due to senority & my many duties there..but you never know. it's still no fun. gotta love budget cuts. but, thank you. it was very much appeciated. :)

Prayers Needed

If you could please keep me & my workplace in your thoughts or prayers, I would greatly appreciate it.  Layoffs have started today. I am currently in my cubicle here at work, but no one knows who is next or when they will be told.  I have lost 2 co-workers already this morning and there is a lot if hear say going on.  Favoritism over senority is also taking a HUGE toll on some of who have been here for quite some time.

Talk about stressful.

What a Friday! If you could please keep us in your prayers I would greatly appreciate it!

I hope the weekend will be better.

Tonight, while I was in between putting the dishes away, cooking a roast, doing laundry, washing more dishes, eating my dinner & making vegetable soup..I realized how much I miss this guy.  the sleepy, snoozy, so, so tired, HARD worker man that he is..my husband!

i am so blessed. :)

we've got a good thing goin' on!

God has blessed us with an incredible love that I simply will never be able to explain.

I love how Nate makes me feel. Plain & simple.

Back when I was single, I remember asking God for a guy with patience & understanding.  (I knew how crazy & wonky I could be, so glad God knows even MORE! haha) He blessed with more in a guy than I could have ever asked for! Nate is so patient.  He puts up with my ad-libs of songs in the car.  taking weird, weird photos on a drive. and my super wacky "dance moves", again..in the car!

eh. he gets Hotwheels. maybe that's why he's so nice to me?! ;) 

anywhoo. We had a great weekend! organized the pantry.  i went out with girlfriends while nate was at work saturday night. olive garden=super YUM! (woooo!) got groceries. had starbucks. went on a date last night to see Premonition. we liked it! napped. shopped at target. kohls. and bed bath & beyond. which all equal pure happiness! took in the sunshine even tho it was freezing out!

i love our happenings lately! totally enjoying married life! has it really only been 5 months?!  we have so much in store...

Just a quick list of my *happies* right now:

-an overstuffed candy bowl w. tootsie rolls,werther's,blow pops & my favorite: bit o' honeys!

-MUFFINS!!!  i am so addicted. Nate & i picked these up tonight at my favorite grocery store..they're huge..and delicious.and fattening! doh! my favorite is mocha chip, but they didn't have any, so we opted for some other yummy ones: banana nut, choc chip & blueberry! mmm.

-this concept car we found t the Cleveland Auto Show a couple of weeks ago! It's by Chrysler & i love it. But don't think i would ever buy one if it ever came to production! lol

-Nate having the night offrom work tonight!

-this time change!!  it's 7:30 & STILL daylight out! this is why i love spring & summer! :)

-spring is like 9 days away!! wooot!

-my mom & step dad are FINALLY buying themselves a NEW car!  they thought they were decided on a Honda CRV, but changed their minds as of yesterday & are getting a loaded Honda Accord! it'll be just as cool & they deserve it!

-surprises! surprises! surprises! hehehehe.

-good emails from friends who i haven't talked to in some time.

-Nate cooking dinner!

-bubble baths.

-flip flops!!! broke em out last night! eeep! we're nuts!

-girls night on Saturday night...had SO much fun!

-the Amazing Race!

i'm sure there is way more, but i'm off to have one of those muffins & watch tv with the hubby! here's to a great week!

I requested today off from work for a doctor's appointment (nothing bad, just a checkup !).  It as nice spending time with Nate.  We had lunch at Longhorn..I ate a yummy side salad and half of my mushroom & swiss burger because it was gross! Nate took it to work tonight! LOL  So, because my lunch wasn't toogood, he took me to DQ for a blizzard that is half finished sitting in the freezer!

Anywho, since I promised these about  months ago..here are some random shots around our home. We truly love it here, but I can't wait until the time comes to buy our own place! Here's the rundown (and I apologize for the wonky order & placement of the photos..I argued with Typepad for a while about this today! haha) The first photo is of the big "primitive" shelf we picked up in Amish Country on our honeymoon. I love it &fronly $20 it was a steal! It holds a photo frame we received as awedding gift (with photos of the strangers they lac in theose things! Can you say, SLACKERS??! LOL), 2 Ball turquoise-tinted Glass jars  from my step dad that  absolutely ADORE! a candle that we never burn cuz it smells too yummy! and another frame from my sister. 

Next photo: our bibles. love having them in our home. :)

Next: candle holder/centerpiece on our kitchen table-another wedding gift we love.

Next: My husband is a complete Hotwheels collector!  Should we have a son someday, daddy will have him all set to go with cars!! haha. Nate lost a lot of his collection from growing up in an arson house fire in 2005, so I had no complaints when he mentioned wanting to start collecting again. Afterall, I think they're cool too! :)

Next photo: Our "keyholder" on one of the kitchen counters (Nate made this for me last winter) and some other junk I hate having there, but everything just seems to gather in that one spot! haha.

Next: DVD's! another thing my wonderful husband "collects!" LOL  We love movies...and this is the front side of the DVD rack, the other side is completely full too, and then there's more under the TV stand! yikes. Not to mention, they're alphabetized! (thanks to hubby's OCD with that *wink*)

Next: 2 of our favorite things in the kitchen: the microwave we received as a wedding gift from my aunt & uncle and our Kitchenaid. Love those things!

Next: shoes. in the front entryway. Nate hates that rug because it always gets caught under the door when guests come over! LOL But, I love it...so it stays! ;) haha I can take all of the pairs & put them in the closet, and it's a guarantee that within a day, they'll all be right back there again! Wait til summer...it will be ALL flip flops! LOL

Next: just a simple shelf in our living room. i love brown & turquoise. :)

Next: some signage in the laundry room-"primitive style!" hehe.  I collected these before I even met Nate for my future home. Makes me smile to see them hanging up in our home!! :)

Next: corner of Nate's bathroom sink. Collection of cologne..and then a photo of us! LOL  (that was his own personal touch..so I wen with it! *wink*)

The last photo is going down our hallway...just some photos of mostly us from the wedding & honeymoon. Love this wall and our guests always seem to comment on it!

Happy Birthday!

March 5th, 2007-Today is my mom's 44th birthday!! This woman is extraordinary! One of my best friends...she is my hero & i love her more than she will ever know!  Yesterday's birthday lunch/get together that Nate & I hosted went wonderfully! We had plenty of pizza, cake & chocolates!  Not to mention..she got her Vera Bradley and loved it even more than I had hoped!! God is so good for giving me SUCH an amazing mom!

It's definitely been one of those weeks where I've had a major "who cares?" attitude. So much is going on, and I think it's the planner in me. So, all this unorganization is really driving me insane!

I'm glad tomorrow is Friday. I'm glad Nate is off Sunday. I'm glad my entire family is coming over to our place to celebrate mom's 44th birthday! I'm glad we're paying off more & more debt. I'm glad I have a husband who made spaghetti, even if the original plan was to make meatloaf, but due to faulty [in otherwords: hard as a rock, uber yuck] brown sugar the plans changed. I'm glad I found Lily Allen on Kla La's blog. I'm glad it's MARCH!! I'm glad flip flops are just around the corner. I'm glad I have next Thursday off. I'm glad we have a full pantry. I'm glad America hates Antonella on American Idol just as much as I do. I'm glad all the laundry is all caught up. I'm glad that eBay exists for a little extra cash in my pocket [which gets spent just as soon as it gets there!]. Here's to the weekend!
