feel a lil' randomness comin' on!

-it's wednesday. hUmp dAY.

-nate officially took the job!! [thanks so much from both of us for the sweetness, ladies! nate really appreciates the kind thoughts! and me too, of course! :)]

-jamie...you totally make me smile!! thanks for always being so sweet! :)

-had my annual evaluation today. ugh. basically i need to bust ass even more. but, it went pretty well...better than i thought & at least i got, "nichole is very positive & a joy to work with." woo woo. *lol*

-we got moved to the stinkin 3rd floor for our apartments b/c the one we were supposed to be in on the 1st floor is going thru renovations, and won't be done in time for our move in.

-we're gettin digital cable with DVR & FAST internet!! OMG!! i will not know what to do with myself! i've never had cable a day in my life and i've always had dial-up internet..but not as of this Sunday, buddy!! we'll be good to go now!

-it's hot outside. pray for good weather this weekend.

-all my scrap schtuff..well, most of it..is packed up..including a LO i started last week & never finished!

-i purged majorly in the scrap dept...i have a huge wire cube filled with scrap stuff..mostly scrapworks...ebay here i come!! need.extra.cash. [to pay for that kick booty internet & cable, mostly! haha.]

-packed a TON last night. pretty much all the necessities, which includes: dvd's, cd's,clothes,scrap stuff..that is all! ha. oh, and a whole bunch of other stuff too...as well as having more stuff being 'stored" in my closet til we know how much room we'll for sure have..mom's gonna love it! *lol*

-think i have a 24 hr. flu bug today. got wayyyy sick last night. and again this morning. not sure what is up. body aches stink, that's all i know.

-i have next tues & weds off to finish the move & settle in!  i'm excited.

-i can't believe it's almost the 4th of july already! craziness.

-going to watch drag racing with my dad, sister, her dude friend, eric & nate all day & night saturday...complete with fireworks! i'm excited!

-it's 12:44 p.m. here & i haven't eaten a thing since last night..until now...a fudgesicle from a co-worker..nice.

-some of the gifts for the BM's came in yesterday! i loooove them, thanks to my mom for handling [i'd share, but i have BM's who read this, so i can't :(] i can't wait to give them to the girls!

-i have to say EK totally got me inspired to cook...and to register for a George Foreman grill! *lol* yummy lookin stuff on her blog all the time!

-oh, and this adult stuff...not sure i like it! haha.

more good news...

NATE WAS OFFERED A JOB!!!!

Out of the several interviews he’s had, this is actually a GOOD one, granted it’s not related to his major…haha…but still..it’s a job!! MONEY!! *lol*

He has another interview today for a different company in 2 hours…and will then make a decision on what he wants to do.

I really think he’ll take the first one.

He will be working A LOT. like 7 days a week, a lot…and I have to admit, when he called & told me a little while ago, I didn’t like it. it’s 2^nd shift, so we’d miss each other during the week…and then him working all weekend too? Ugh. BUT, I know that if this is where God wants him for now, I can’t argue.

So, instead of being negative, I am gonna be happy about this..and I am! 

I am really proud of Nate. This job has its good things too tho…like him getting the entire week off after we’re married!! Thought that was awesome!

The lady wanted him to start today! But, with moving & prior commitments, he will do orientation Friday, and will officially start July 10^th. So, we’ll even have time after the move to adjust some & such.

Oh, and about the apartment..we signed our leasing papers last night! And well, yes, we are basically moving in together..without me changing my address & stuff until after we’re married.  I figured, I’m paying rent, why not stay there?! *lol*

i really cannot wait to move!  Even tho I did start crying with Craemer last night thinking about not seeing him everyday! *lol*  <sigh.> oh well.

I’m anxious. 

Words of advice tho, don’t work on getting your fiance a job, lease an apartment, move & try to plan a wedding at the same time!

Craziness.

But, we’re managing! One of the girls at work is supposed to give a few Staples boxes today..and I plan on packing some more tonight. Oh, the joys.

I am not a fan of packing. Or moving. It’s a lot of work!

I miss Nate.

Can I just say I have the best mom in the world?! That woman cracks me up & stresses me out all the same!  I wanna be just like her when I grow up. For serious. J

oh, and look at what i just found in my comp, here at work...it's been almost a year since this was taken..we weren't even dating yet...but i was definitely feelin' nate by this point that weekend! awwww...it was just meant to be...even with that crazy mohawk he had & all! *lol* 

we got an apartment!!!

Nate  & I looked at different apartments last night & we LOVED them!! They're super nice [complete with new everything; carpet,tiles,applianes,paint, etc. & they're CHEAPER than the other ones we were thinking about & we just got the call this afternoon thet we've been approved & our move-in day is next Sunday, July 2nd!!!  She gave me our address & everything! I am so excited & just wanted to share!

I'll be sure to have photos as soon as possible..if we end up getting the internet sooner than expected, that'l be even better! If not, I'll get them posted somehow!

falling behind...again.

I didn’t even realize it’s been a week since my last entry. Yikes. Time flies.

Last weekend was beyond busy..as expected.

I completely forget what we even did Friday!

Saturday was a wedding all day. The BEST wedding I’ve ever attended. It was beautiful.  Nate & I were guestbook attendants..that was joyous! Haha.

Everything about this couple’s ceremony was perfect. So real. So them. Full of laughs & tears. I only hope that Nate & I can have a wedding HALF as good as that one..it was wonderful. And the place they had their reception was beautiful. So much so that nate & I are going to try & get resrevations for a couple of days after we’re married! Loved it.

We were so tired Sunday, we skipped church, visited with my dad, then had lunch at my grandparents before heading to wedding number 3 at the SAME place we had just been Saturday! [over an hour drive ONE way! Craziness.]. The wedding was nice. I was tired. I needed some time to chill out.

I called off Monday.

Slept in a tad..til like 9.

Went to nate’s, we looked at an apartment.

Bought our tv stand at target!!!! Love that thing! Can’t wait to put it to use!

It was a great day until I got a call from dad, before sitting down to dinner with nate at Chick-fil-a.

Turned everything upside down. I bawled. I couldn’t eat. I was a mess.

We started to drive home, I couldn’t control anything, I started crying uncontrollably, wasn’t able to breath, my head hurt, I was hot…it resulted in an anxiety attack.

Poor Nate. he had to pull over somewhere. He’d never seen me have one before. I just hurt all over. I don’t remember a lot. I am too stressed. Something triggered it & that’s how my body handles it. It just shuts down.

He took me straight home. Only to get the 3^rd degree from my parents.

It was awful.

Nate not having a job is really making things difficult.

He has been looking everywhere. Applying to everything possible, stuff not even related to his degree. And not much going on.

After a hot shower, and some time, we all calmed down.

And nate got a call from a company that night for an interview Tuesday!

[he had a 2^nd weds & turns out it’s something totally not good. Here’s a hint: soliciting. ‘nuff said! UGH!!]

He got another call Tuesday night for a different place. Has since been able to get ahold of the lady. Ugh again.

So glad it’s Friday!

It’s been a long week.

has had some awful storms the last few days. Flooding. Tornadoes. Craziness.

Nate & I are going to look at another apartment tonight. I’m excited!

I brought all kinds of envelopes to address today for lunch. It should be awesome!

…this day blows.

That was my text to nate a few seconds ago.

It’s Friday. And this day just sucks.

I think it’s cuz I am stressed.

I have been trying to not let the fact that nate doesn’t have job, my step dad doesn’t have a job, I hate my job, I have no  money, how are we supposed to pay for everything for our wedding, my dad isn’t helping, my mom is working her ass off, my mom is going thru another dose of depression, changes are being made in the church, all the DIY stuff left to do, my room being a disaster, co-worker’s being annoying, and all the packing I have to do get to me.

I have tried to be so positive.

But, I think it’s catching up with me.

I am unsure. Uneasy. Worried. Sad. Concerned.

All while trying to be positive. Happy. caring. Pay for everything. Have great things. enjOy each day.

I am completely excited to marry my best friend. to be with Nate forever. And I have wanted this for so long. The nice wedding, surrounded by plenty of friends & family. with pink & orange everything. Great food, dancing, beautiful photos to cherish. I have & I do.

I just think I’m being selfish.

My mom & step dad are struggling. And it’s not fair. [thank you, Mr. Bush.]-and I voted for him, so I can say that!

And yet, they continue to pick up  little things for our day.

Money is tight. Nate & I have so many hopes & dreams…plans. I guess we’re trying to have our cake & eat it too. And it’s just hard.

I know we’ll manage.

I know we’ll ALL be ok.

I know it will all get better.

Just not in my time, but in God’s.

[That’s the hard part for me!]

So, anyways. Now that I’ve had my Friday vent, on to more random things.

-payday today. Not even excited for this one, as it’s half gone already with bills, then gas. Ugh.

-get to see my hubby-to-be @ 5!! [THE most exciting part of my day!]

-dinner somewhere to catch up..and discuss..living arrangements..and who knows what else.

-a car show with the parents tonight?

-wedding #2 tomorrow…most of the day. Should be grand, since it’s expected to be over 90* here tomorrow. Nate & I are guestbook attendants. Sweeeet! ;) haha.

-<insert really random here> I scrapped another 12X12 layout last night! This is exciting, folks!

-church Sunday..Sunday school 1^st thing with articles I failed to read for the class. dOh.

-wedding #3 Sunday afternoon. After trying to squeeze some time in with my grandparents, step dad & then making a quick visit to see my dad.

-can I just sleep in sometime??

-I need a vacation.

-the beach sounds wonderful. I really wanna go, if even for a couple days. I hate not having money!

-one of my co-worker’s brought me a beautiful fuchsia daisy from her garden today. I love it.

-gotta love a fire drill 20 minutes after arriving to work this morning. I hate people yelling and I most certainly hate the freakin horn they blow. HATE IT!

-I miss my girlfriends. Yey for hanging out with Jana next Thursday night & a possible night out with Melanie soon [melf, if u see this, I’ll be calling you soon, promise!]

-I need to stop taking the virtual tour online of the apartments we’ll be moving to hopefully next month! *lol*[I’d realllly appreciate good thoughts on this one, guys!]

-I’m excited about that, can ya tell?

-how is it that I get THE best sleep when I’m in nate’s arms?  What is it about guys that does that to girls?! Oh, who cares. All I know is I LOVE IT!!

-I have to admit I’m super jealous of 3 of my co-worker’s who get to leave for the rest of the day at noon. I wanna go too.

-taking a day off. Just can’t decide when.

-I need a pedicure. A manicure. A massage. And a tan. Isn’t there a place that can do all that for me?! For free, possibly?! Haha.

-and big, big prayers & thoughts going out to my girl, Emily who is getting married tomorrow!!!  Congratulations, girlie!!!

Ok. This is enough rambling for one day. I’m out like trout! Oh, and check the awesome page that Nate made for me last Friday when I was at work!! Didn’t he rock it?!! I LOVE THAT DUDE!! J

Well, I wanted to update yesterday, but our power went out last night shortly after getting home & didn't come back til I was in bed...but here it is today! J

Thanks so much to those who shared their opinions on the hair! #1 has always bene my favorite, i love how it weaves on the side!  We shall see what I go with!

Friday was so much fun.  Nate & I went for chinese. I had some super spicey shrimp...YUM! CARS was so stinkin cute! I highly recommend it!  I loved it.  Larry the Cable Guy is priceless. I can't wait to get it on DVD!

again!  Had great fun at Chipotle chatting & looking at each other's real-life pages!! Always LOVE doing that! Those girls...geez...TALENTED!  And all 3 have such unique styles. I love how

keeps everything so clean & groups photos together. And Darcy, she uses patterned paper & embellies sooo good & has the BEST tribute pages to her mother..just beautiful. Rachel has this incredible way with ribbons & design..I can't even describe it..it's terrific! After lunch we headed to Archiver's for some shopping!  Fun Stuff. Fuuuun. I picked up..are you ready for this??  A 12X12 album!!  The girls asked me if I was switching to the ginormous size, I said no way!!  The album is just for when I want to do something different. It won't be themed or anything, just randomness!

Also, got some delicious AC ribbon, Making Memories ribbon[I blame Rachel for that! ;) ], a couple sheets of PP, letter stickers..and more. Too bad it's all still sitting in the bag on my scrap table. Just haven't had time to play yet!

I can't wait to meet up with all of them again...good friends! Love those girls!

After dpearting Archiver's, I picked up some Chipotle for Nate [goodness forbid if I didn't! *lol*] and headed home to meet him there.  Ended up run ning into my dad on the way, caught up with him quick & rushed to see my Nate!  Saturday night we went to the county dirt track for some racing!!  It's been years since I've been & I really enjoyed myself. Even tho Nate & I were dorks & wore light shirts & flip flops! dOh! Thank goodness for a hoodie & some blankets!  I loved being there with him...dirt in our ears,hair,nose & all! Haha. good times!

After we came home, I was so in the mood to lay in my yard under the stars.  The moon was so full..it was cold. We had tons of blankets. And lounged for some time out there...until about midnight or so.  Nate spent the night due to not having any hot water at his house and are busy Sunday ahead. I love when he gets to stay. Makes me uber happy!

<----*we also made my local paper this weekend for our engagement, forgive the crappy scan, i hate when they put the info in 2 columns! argh! :)  

Sunday was wedding #1. But before the wedding, we went to church. Still trying to adjust to everything there. The newness. The size. the people. The schedule. I know over time it will all work out okay though.  After church, we came home for lunch..lounged a bit & then headed to the outdoor wedding for my co-worker.

It was interesting.  It started to sprinkle. The ceremony was short & sweet. The female Reverend drove me crazy!  Something about a woman marrying someone bugs me, but that wasn't it..she emphasized every word she said. Sounded like a bullfrog giving the vows, not a Reverend! I'm mean. I'll stop.

The wedding was small. Right after the ceremony, we went in for the reception.  We waited over an hour for the bride & groom [#1 reason Nate & I are doing photos before the ceremony!] and didn't stay a super long time.  The food was delicious. Some of the best wedding food I've ever eaten!  Her centerpieces & favors were cute. And nothing like the father of the groom/best man giving this outstanding speech...  "May God bless you and never go to bed mad." Yup. THE END. *lol* kills me! I seriously laughed so hard!  It was nice to support Andrea tho.

Nate & I headed to do some small grocery shopping afterwards and that about completed our weekend. 

This weekend will be 2 more weddings. Woo! Then, we'll be done with the wedding hoopla until our own. Which, can I say is FOUR months away from tomorrow???!!! OMG!! I'm excited!!  I just want to be married to my best friend. I don't even need the shin-dig. I just need my man. the rings. The pastor. My friends & family & that is all. Lets go please! J

Feel like being random, as I don’t have one specific thing to talk about really.

I wanted to post some hairstyles I like for the wedding.  Trying to figure it out so when I go to my salon for my trial it will be a much easier task! Here’s a couple I’ve gathered from my work computer..let me know what you think!!! PLEASE! J

It’s June. Well, it’s been june for like, what, 9 days or something?! but, we’ve reached “that point” in June. The THREE weddings in 7 days point! Can you believe that?!  3 weddings in SEVEN days!! Madness!  The first one is this S unday for a  good friend & co-worker of mine, Andrea. It’s going to be an outdoor wedding & I am really excited for her!  Then, the next is next Saturday for a girl, Katie who was Nate’s friend and has since become mine as well. Super sweet couple..that’ll be fun! And the last is next Sunday..Father’s Day for another of Nate’s friends. I don’t know her, so it should be interesting. Haha.

Cannot wait to meet up with Darcy, Erin & Rachel tomorrow for some Chipotle & Archiver’s!!  It’s gonna be grand finally meeting Darce & Rachel and to see

Erin also challenged us to do a page going off a magazine ad that had some ‘Me’ questions…I must say, I am happy to report I finished mine last night and judging from our emails to one another this morning, I may have just been the 1^st one done! ;) *lol*  also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL!!!! J

Nate & I are going out to dinner & to see Cars tonight!!  I’m excited!  I love date night!  May go to a bonfire tomorrow night..and have a day full of church & wedding Sunday.

In other wedding related news…I have started addressing the invitation envelopes. Someone please tell me why I decided to handwrite them all??!! YIKES!  I did maybe 20 or 30 yesterday at lunch and hated every second of it!  *lol*  Oh well.  It must be done. I’m excited to meet with another florist in 2 weeks..crossing my fingers they will be able to get my the rigt flowers & colors that I want in a reasonable price range.  Going for alterations on my dress this coming Tuesday. Woo. Yeah. I am really not excited for that! Need to start usin the Crest Whitestrips. Yesss! LOVE those things!! I need to find some dresses for my bridal showers this summer..that should be a joyous occasion. NOT. *lol*

Anywhoo. Told you this would be random. I also did my first 12x12 last weekend!  I plan on doing some more..we shall see what happens, as I am still an 8.5x11 girl at heart!

apartment.wedding.the usual.

yeah, ok i'm a wee bit behind in updating in june, i know!  things have been kinda hectic..which seems to be the norm for me these days. :)

megan turned 17 on the 1st. seventeen! man. i'm old. ;) she got ungrounded that day & we met the new boyfriend. he's alright, but i miss eric.

nate & i looked at an apartment last wednesday. LOVED it! we initially told the lady we were interested in just a one bedroom [tryin' to watch that budget!], but we're really leaning toward the 2 bedroom & i have to say I am really excited! The original plan was to go look at a few others, but I liked this one so much & nate can be easily persuaded, taht I really think we're gonna go with this complex!  The lady told us to call in about 2 or 3 weeks & that way she could let us know what she'd have available for sure, and if the special is the same for July as it was for June, we'll be moving in in July! Now, I should say the 'WE'll' very loosely, and explain.  Nate & I don't exactly believe in living-living together until you're married..and we won't.  My address won;t change until we're Mr. & Mrs. andI won't be there EVERY , single day..just most! heee!  I taled to my mom about it today & she surprisingly took it super well & said she pretty much figured that anyways..that we were grown adults & life is busy, she understand. [sigh of reliefe right there, lemme tell ya!] i'm very anxious to start movin! packing has already started...slowly but surely. heee. and the cool think about having a second bedroom is...SCRAPROOM!!!! yessss! ;)

the weekend was great! Friday night was date night. Nate & I went to Bob Evans..yeah, I dunno..I was craving it for some strange  reason! And then went to see 'The BreakUp' i actually LOVED it!! I heart Jennifer Aniston & Vince Vaughn, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed.  Good flick..I think it'll be on our DVD buy list! Kept busy Saturday with errands to a paper craft store & Hibby Lobby, a return at Old Navy, and a grad party for a girl Nate graduated college with. Chilled out the rest of the day..had a yummy lunch at Steak N' Shake, even tho I felt like I gained 30 pounds just sitting in the place! *lol* [sigh.]

watched The Ringer with Nate, megan & John. kinda funny movie, don't need to see it again tho.

today was wonderful! our first service in the new buikding at church! it was amazing! i loved it. i love my church. i love the people. i love the Pastor. i love the lessons. i [think] i'm gonna love the new Sunday School class that was just created for college/young couples/married/engaged...today was just orientation, so we didn't get to get into anything yest, but I think it will be a good class.

Nate & I took some photos this afternoon. [see above.] we'll be together 9 months tomorrow!!  even tho we both agree it feels MUCH longer [in a good MUCH longer, not bad! haha] it's exciting. 

And wedding plans...I've started on the favor boxes..punched circles with small punches on the big, pre-printed circles..since the original plan of stamping hearts,names, whatever onto the boxes didn't work out too good..i am pleased with this look tho..it's just a little more time consuming tho.  also, printed out all the RSVP cards last weekend, and mom corner rounded every single one of them for me like the kick butt mom that she is! The programs have now been started...I printed one out to get an idea of how they'll look...still not sure what color of paper to print them on..anyone have any suggestions? White with black? Fuchsia? Orange? Green? help! ha. You can kinda sorta see them in the misc. photo below which has our wedding fund jar,favor box open,the rough draft of the  program

I've also been gathering some photos of hairstyles that I like & would love to have some opinions.  I will try & post them this week, as I am gonna go chill with Nate right now!
