my night with tricia went pretty well for the most part [other tahn all the time she tried to tell me how to drive & would get smart about little things *sigh* to be expected!]. dinner was yummy, swung by the lake where dad was to show him CY [he approved & liked him very much!], came back to town to visit a friend of ours who just had a beautiful baby girl...she's beyond precious & has the thickest, black hair!! too cute! then went to see wedding crashers, which was long, but pretty darn funny! vince vaughn actualy talks faster than i do! it's crazy! *lol*

                                                                                                                                      heeeeere he is!!!! this is CY [short for Civic...but pronounced with a long "y" sound! *lol*] just perfect & everything that i've wanted!  picked him up at 4 this afternoon & have taken him many places already! i just love him!!!  the sunroof is even cooler than i thought, cd player & radio is rockin & i feel COOL driving him!! *lol* & check out that booty...isn't he fiiiine?! ;) hehehe! i love him & he loves me & that's all that matters! :) thank you all for the love, support, prayers, emails & phone calls [hehe jill!! ;)]

cars,boys,no sleep and college.

what's filled my days lately. cars [& lots o 'em]. backstreet boys [and mighty fine!]. & no sleep. ack. *lol*

monday night after work i went car shoppping. oh the joys. i never thought i'd say it, but i am TIRED of shopping for a car! even getting approved for that loan i am finding i am just wayyy too picky! the guy at th new dealership  went to was SUPER helpful!  when i told him what i wanted [2 door, silver,EX-which means sunroof,cd player, alloy wheels, etc, no older than a 2002.-] he searched all 3 nearby dealerships that night, but they didn't have silver. they had plenty of ex coupe's, but not silver. so he asked if it would be alright to give hime a couple days to track something down & get back to me. i said sure. [i've waited this long, what's another few days?!]

well, i got a call this morning from him & he found my car!  2004, silver, 2 door door & it only has 17,000 miles!!  i called Phil at home, then called mom at work. then, called the guy at the dealership back, then called mom & then Phil haha. craziness. all at work. i HATE making personal calls at work. i feel rotten, but it needed done & it really didn't take ALL that much time. i originally told the guy i'd come look at it tomorrow night, but mom wanted to go tonight! ROCK ON! so, i met them at the dealership right after work.  had to sit in my car for half an hour whil i waite don them to make the drive, but it's all good..got plenty of texting & picture sharing done! haha. 

we go in, he greets us at the door [much better than the loser this weekend!]..he takes me right out to the car--which i had spotted right away on the way in mind you! ;)  it was BEAUTIFUL! oh, so perfect! JUST what i want! the body is perfect...no dings, pings,scratches or anything that i could see...it's all i want! :)

the price tag  after everything is said & done [trade in, tax & title, etc] is $1100.00 MORE than what i was approved for through my bank.  the amt i was approved for is only the amt. i asked about.  so, i *hope* they'll end up approving me for more, cuz tonight...i signed the basic papers, they are calling my bak in the morning to see about the loan. it all lies in the banks hands. i want this car so bad.  i need a car so bad. *please, if you could, say a prayer for me! i would REALLy, REALLY appreciate it!

OH and college. well, monday night right after coming home from work, i go thru my mail & see an envelope from Sallie Mae.  yup. a loan! oh my. craziness!!  the amt. of the loan still asn't enough for tuition tho...and i don't have the extra $3,000...i know i could get another small loan, but i need a car...i want college soooo bad, but at the same time, i really feel just working & getting a good, reliable car is what's meant to be right now. it's just crazy & super stressful how it all worked out. mom said, "see, nichole. you're just so impatient. you get all worked up for nothing & then look!" haha..thanks mom! :) so, i tried calling the college yesterday to officially withdrawl...turns out i have to fax my ID & a letter giving them permission to cancel my classes. nice. gotta get on that!

so, yesterday was my day in cleveland with megan. to shop, eat, people watch [haha..always a good time!] & the Backstreet Boys concert!!  we had a blast!! i never knew cleveland was as close as it is from home...only an hour!  too cool! and VERY easy to get to! i loved the drive!  we got there at 2...waled some of the city, went shopping in the HUGE mall, ate at the Hard Rock Cafe [love that place & meg had never eaten there b4, so we decided we HAD to go!] love their cheeseburgers! YUM! we had awesome service & even had 2 people think we were twins!! *lol* we look nothing alike! [see photo <---over there!]  i got my Calm body spray at bath & body works to go with my scrubs, body wash & lotions i already have...YUM! and megan got some new undies at Victoria's Secret.  I also picked up a hot new pair of light pinkish sunglasses for my trip to the beach ina  couple weeks, since my other 3 pair, well..they're damaged! 2 pair are majrly crooked from being tucked under my visors & my fave pair, well, i somehow lost the bose pad & they are SUPER crooked/uneven! *lol*

such a blast!  i loved sitting my the huge fountain they have & people watched! we sat there two different times for about 45 minutes each time & it was good fun! people are SO interesting, especially big CITY people like that...it was so fun!

we decided to head down to the concert at about 5. once we got there, we realized taht gates didn't open til 6. the only people in there were VIP's ooooh! *lol*  we waited in the pouring rain [under a little hut for the shuttel] for about 20 minutes with about 25 other people, until the crew let us in to dry out. we were special! we got to hear the openeing bands souncheck & everything. good fun!

they finally let us scan our tickets & we were in section 5, row c. so meg finds section 5, row c & we sit. but, something didn't seem right. our seats seemed so far [even tho the place wasn't incredibly big or anything!], so meg askes & good thing! cuz we ended up being 34 rows further towards the front!! ahhhh! that was much better! we had good seats, but my photos turned out pretty crappy cuz we couldn't sit still & the Boys wouldn't sit still...so, wemade do! :)  the show was AMAZING!!!!  i love them even more now! they put on a tremendous, casual, fun & funky...LOUD show!! i LOVED it!!!  they sang for over an hour & a half...the opening bands were great...everything was wonderful! hot. but wonderful! i loved how they sang old & new songs & had the coolest big screens with old footage from back in the day, world tours, old tours, etc playing when they'd change...incredible! we got out of the ampitheatre at 10:30. walked to the car in the huge crowd by 10:50...were on the highway by 11:15...made it home a lil' after midnight! a great birthday present from megan! thanks megan!! :)

now, it's time to finish this & head  to bed! i feel so behind in scrapping, pea'ing, blogging, everything!! car shopping wears you out!! *lol*

terrible weekend, but God has a reason!

wow. no updates ALL weekend....i think that might be a first. reason being i have been completely wore out. this weekend went down in the books for one of the worst ever. let me explain.

friday night..well, crap! i don't even remember what i even did friday night! how pathetic is that? wow. ummmm....?? ha. who knew.

saturday. well, saturday was ok.  hung out at home, cleaned, scrapped a page, gram & gramp came over so i could handwrite on a quilt she's giving my cousin for her wedding in October...good seeing them...then, my mom had to go to work, so my step dad & step sister & i went car shopping. hadn't really planned on it, but it was exciting to look, especially at a new Honda dealership i'd never been to.

well, i found a GREAT car. everything i've been looking for..hoping for. even marked down! we were at the dealership for about 2 hrs. test driving, paper work, all that.  the salesman gave me the printout of what the monthly payment would be. it wasn't cheap, so i told him i wanted to go home & think about it. no problem.

went home, talked to mom about it, figured out what i can & can't afford.  the final outcome was i COULD do this. i found THE car.  called dad, asked him if he could take me up Sunday to look it all over [he's soooo good with stuff like that], he said yes.

sunday, went to church...saw jimmy, aaron[another dude at church who i;m friends with] and a new guy. nice. delightful. it was a great service like always.

rushed to the bank & the gas station [i was on E!] then right home after church, to change. gave dad a call. he was grumpy about something to do with paypal. i told him i was on my way. got there, he was cool.  we left, were headed to some smaller dealerships, found nothing. then when i told him the dealership we were going to was such & such he got sooo mad & said, "nichole. that's clear across Akron, all the way on the other side...i'm gonna miss most of the race if i take you!" OMG!  what??  i was heartbroke. he's my dad & i just asked him to go look at this car before i bought it & didn't want to make a mistake. he sighed & i told him to take me back to his house, to just forget it. then, i looked right at him & said, "you know dad, sometimes you have your priorities soooo messed up" well, that must have got to him, cuz he took me right to the dealership! but, i was still sad. just like always when it comes to him. argh.

we get to the place. it's raining. dad looks at what he can. we go inside & Tony the saleman i had been dealing with less than a DAY ago was sitting in another chair on the phone.  we wait patiently. he gets off the phone & makes another call. then, he finishes with that & just sits there & laughs with some other co-workers. the nerve. anyways, he looks at me like, "who are u? can i help u?" i say, "yeah, i'm nichole winstead, interested in the 03 civic from yesterday"...he looks at me dumbfounded & says, "ohh yea...i thought you looked familiar from yesterday!" & points at MY DAD!!  i'm like, "no, this is my dad, my step dad was the one with me yesterday!" he pulls the car into the garage so dad can look it all over...doesn't even stay out there with us, just goes back inside! dad says the car is perfect!  except for the bumper, he wanted it replaced b/c he had a dent & 3 little bubbly mark things where it looks like it tapped against something....we go back inside, wait forever for him to get off the phone again...

dad was browsing the showroom, i was sitting at Tony's desk.  he says, "so, what's dad think?" i say, " i want to discuss some things with you. i want a new bumper for that car. i'm not pay that amt for a scratched up bumper" he says, "oh. well, i'd have to ask my manager about that & he's not here." ok. whatever. he then takes my car for drive for a trade in value [which i KNOW is not much, it's a 93 lumina for crying out loud!]. comes back & says the car's only worth $300. even tho he quoted me for at least $500 saturday. my dad lost it. he was not happy with how any of it went. i admit, i was kinda clueless....Tony had called a wholesaler while driving my car & that was shady to me. then, another salesman with us while my car was being driven gets on his cell & gets off & says, "oh, i just sold you car for $500 to a buddy, so it's up to u"...what a loser!  so, dad picked up all my papers, ID, etc & headed out. i didn't know what to do! i had my keys. Tony was telling dad he would still give me $500 & yadda yadda yadda...dad's telling me to get in the car. we were not giving them our business.

i was crushed. we weren't even out of the parking lot & i just started bawling! sooo sad...depressed..defeated. tired.  dad apologozed, but i understood & told him i appreciated him watching out for me like that & i'm glad he did. i was just exhausted with looking, finding, hoping, then getting crushed. with cars last year. with college a few weeks ago & now cars again. i can't take it.

so, i semi-calmed down a couple minutes later & i needed to blow my nose. no kleenex, then dad remembered i had some in my thing in between the seats.  i look down to get them & blood just comes pouring from my nose! all over my shirt, pants car....yuck! a complet mess!  i even said a bad word & dad says, "did u just say sh*t?!" & started cracking me up! i was out of it!  tilted my head back & felt like i was gonna pass out!  terrible feeling.

he was so good tho. complete opposite than what he had been hours before. he was sweet & funny & caring. driving down the high way handing me kleenex every other second, trying to tell me jokes, anything.  he also told me he was in contact with another dealer who was looking for cars for me.

he took me & my car to the gas station, got me an orange juice & w whole FULL tak of gas [as i only had 1/4!] thought that was sweet. dropped me off at his place, he went with friends & i went home to get ready to go back to church cuz mom wanted me to go for the vacation bible school finale/carnival.

went home. changed. tired. stressed out.  go to the church thing. had some fun. the kids are so cute & i got to talk to some people taht i haven't for a while.  only stayed not even 2 hrs. came home. got into my pj's & ate a piece of mom's famous pizza :)  even tho i wasn't even hungry. had tons of water.

was online for a second, writing down some info for mom & felt light headed.  started heading up the stairs & collapsed 2 steps from the top. my step dad opened the door cuz someone was on the phone for me & he was giving me the phone & realized i wasn't doing so well.  he helped pull me up onto the living room floor & i was sick. my head hurt, i couldn't breathe. my lips & right arm went numb. i was hot & then freezing. dizzy. laid there for a while. mom took my BP, called the ER to see about the pressures, etc.  they said it was perfect.  i was freezing & wiped out. my eyes burned. i was more than tired than ever.

of course i got the "nichole, stop doing this to yourself" lecture. "it'll be fine...you;ll get a car". i was hopeless...lounged the rest of the night. had some icecream & went to bed.

woke up beat this morning, but will manage since i'm off tomorrow for the BSB concert! *lol*  my mom is fantastic. she calle dthe bank to see about getting a personal loan.  she pretended she was me, with my permission of course! shhhh!] the girls said she'd call her..i mean, ME at work before noon with an answer after checking my credit/work history, etc.

i am anxious. tired. but determined.  at 11 the LOSER from the dealership called me [i ignored his first call at home last night] at work--so RUDE i think...told me he was very sorry for the confusion yesterday, that the bumper would be fixed for free, no worries, he wanted to sell me this car, that" you know me...i like to be goof around sometimes!" whaaaat? RUDE! to that i said, "actually, no, i'm looking elsewhere, bye" & hungup! ahhh love it! instant gratification!

11:15, my step dad calls me to see how i am & remind to call mom as soon as i hear from the bank. while i'm on the phone with him, someone beeps in. i continue with him. get off the phone with him, had a voicemail from the bank. call her back right away & this is what she said,

"nichole, i ran your reports & you were approved for $XX,XXX..with no problem at all!  no co-signer, all on your own! you credit is perfect!"

OMG!!!!!!!!!  i am freakin approved ON MY OWN!!!!!  Thank You GOD!!!  i am really so very worn out still, but sooooo excited!! it can really happen now! so, i called my mom right away & i sawear i thought she was gonna pass out right there at work! "prasie God! praise God!" she kept repeating it over & over! it was the sweetest thing. i have THE best mom & even tho he can be a pain in the butt 90% of the time, the BEST dad! :) *lol*

so, i'm going car shopping tonight...again. wish me luck. ;) ohmygoodness! i am 10 minutes over my lunch! better go!

time to get serious

i do NOT want to look like this EVER again. ever.  big. SUPER big and within this past year i am on my way back to it if i don't GET SERIOUS now. i worked TOO hard to get to being this ugly again. i hate even thinking about how i felt then...hopeless..negative..ugly..miserable.

so, i decided to try something i've never tried before...well, kinda never tried.  because i love the program so much,want to join ASAP, but can't this tues, cuz i have a concert & because i'm really not happy with the leader & her lil' grumpy "gang", i joined weight watchers online!!  i'm excited about it! feel good! hadn't even planned on it before lunch today, but had thought about at least starting to watch what i'm eating...so i ate really good all day...even worked out tonight!

so, i'm motivated & ready to go!!  lets hope i REALLY do it this time!!

don't know what it is...

but i am happy today!!  i mean, i always try to be happy, positive, but today i am REALLY happy and i don't know what is!!! could it be the fabulously funny email i got from Jill this morning? or what about the other email from Emily about my vaca to North Carolina & Myrtle Beach [tooo cute, Em!], or maybe it's all the positive conversations & chit chat here at work today.  It could also be the enormous smile i get when i read everyone's pea praise to me...dude, i'm sure you all can relate, but how freakin awesome is to have so many others comment on your work?!!  and even email you about it & new scrappers email you about all of scrapbooking...questions galore that i LOVE trying my best to answer!!!?? seriously, such a great feeling!  i could also be happy cuz tonight...i have nothing planned. actually, make that the whole weekend! i really wanna get my room together...thinking about redoing it, or at least repainting it, like a bright green...not neon or even lime, but like...i dunno...kinda like Becky Higgin's maybe?!  i REALLY want some bright schtuff goin on!  when we built our rooms 4 years ago...i was lame [i'll admit it! ha.] i painted it BLUE, kinda light blue...with SILVER STARS!!! ahhh! what the flyin' fruit was i thinkin?!! *lol*  the carpet is blue...it just ain't a pretty sight! i need change! i also need organization...my new "first home" stuff if taking over from the corner it was orginally placed in! i dunno...maybe i'll paint this weekend. ah. anyways...totally got off topic there!  maybe i'm happy today cuz i'm wearing a skirt [even if it doesn't fit as well as it did this time last year! DOH! *lol*] or maybe, just maybe because i feel good. i wanna smile & be happy & REALLY feel & mean it! i don't know what it is...but i'm glad i feel it! :)

10 Years Ago: i was 10. almost 11. the year was 1995, so i was kickin' cool style about to head into the 6th grade [one of my fave years ever!]...haha. 5 Years Ago: that would be what? 2000. oh yes. was about to turn 16. too bad i did & failed my driver's test. got absolutely heart broekn & down, so much so that it took me a whole 'nother year to get the courage up to take it again [i passed by the way!! bwaahhaaa!]..that was also the summer of change. mom & phil got together. i was completely stressed & depressed. it's all good now!
1 Year Ago: was 23 pounds lighter & was well on my way to losing the reamaining 40 lbs i had to go. Crushed hard on James. Was about to head off to Myrtle Beach!Yesterday: was terrible at work [like always!]. had a humungous [how do u spell that word, anyway?!] headache right after lunch from too much crap to do! *lol* i caught up on emails, got a wonderful package from a new pea friend, erin...had the brown AC ribbon in it!! ate wayyyy too freakin much *grumble*, cleaned my bathroom, watched Average Joe & surfed the net. oh! & scrapped a page! ha. wow. the exciting life i lead, huh?
Today: thinking about my up & coming vaca to NC & Myrtle Beach! Counting the hours til it's time to go home [2 hrs!!]Tomorrow: another day, another dollar....
